Source for paint to match: Pure White (satin)
We need to refinish some end panels that came pre-finished from Barker in Pure White (satin).
(Yeah, our contractor nailed through them and miss-cut some so there are holes and seams we had to fill. We have since parted ways.)We took a cabinet door to a local home store and did a color match.
We got Behr “enamel cabinet finish and trim” paint (also satin):
* The color seems to match just fine, but …
* The sheen does NOT match.I read on this forum to try and get a color match using a lacquer paint but local stores don’t carry such a thing.
Also, California restricts some lacquer paints, I believe, unless they are low-VOC.We can get alkyd-based paint but I don’t really want to spend $28 on another quart of test paint, if we don’t know it will work.
Is there a source for lacquer-based paints in CA so we can do a color match or is there an online source?
Can we get it from wherever Barker sources their paint? Thanks.
