Drawer height when cabinet is less that 34.5″
How are drawer heights adjusted when ordering 4 or 5 drawer cabinets at a 31″ height?

When using standard drawer front heights (not the equal-front option), the top drawer front remains 5 7/8″ tall regardless of the overall cabinet height ordered. Any increase or decrease in cabinet height is distributed evenly across the lower drawer fronts.
See the example below comparing a four-drawer stack at 34 1/2″ tall versus the same cabinet ordered at 31″ tall.
