Does the drawer depth in a base cabinet scale with the cabinet depth? That is, the drawer depth of a 30 in. deep cabinet 27 in.?

Drawer box depths get larger to within reason. See here for a chart explaining depths of the drawer boxes in comparison to the depth of the cabinet itself.
