Hi Chad – part 2 of 3 here to double check with you please.
Context:
– Planning 26″ deep base, w/ 27″ deep counter, and 14″ deep wall cabinets.
– Still deliberating an integrated slide in range (most practical) vs. the built in approach shown (which I like the clean look of better tbh)Questions / Confirmations:
1. TFE size: Fridge base (excluding door) is 29 1/4″ deep. Will prob make TFE 28 5/8″ deep then the upper above the fridge 28″ deep (so TFE overlaps door). Make sense? The TFE really jumps up in cost at 27″, any way to avoid that?
2. Fill strip to right of fridge – presume this should extend from floor to ceiling, not just along the upper?
3. Asked elsewhere: are you able to offer W2DTRAYDIVIDER with the Aventos flip up door of W1DFLIPUPAVENTOSHKXS for above the fridge?
4. I plan to recess the hood slightly up in the hood cabinet. Will the interior lip match the finish color of exterior and bottom edge? WHOODENC seems to say a few conflicting things “Select the wood type to be used for the interior of the cabinet case. wood species will match “Wood Type” and “Finish” chosen above” but also “This cabinet is made with raw wood (i.e. the interior is not finished/uv coated).”
5. For WFE’s on stove side of wall cabinets, is it possible to just buy 1 longer WFE and just cross cut it to size for the 2 pieces? Seems cut edge could just mount up against lower edge of the hood.
6. You previously mentioned, no need to add a fill spacer between TFE and wall cabinets.
7. For the oven, if I went with a slide in range instead, Assume I do NOT need BFE’s on the stove sides of the base cabinets?
8. Anything else look off to you?!Many thanks. Really looking forward to getting this order in.

1. Refrigerator Wall Cabinet End Panel Depth
Correct. Using a 28-5/8″ deep finished end panel with the 28″ deep wall cabinet above the refrigerator is the proper way to handle this area.
Please note that as end panels increase in depth, the cost rises significantly. This is due to reduced material yield, higher shipping costs for oversized parts (which require special pallets), and the substantial weight increase. Heavier panels are also more prone to damage during finishing, packaging, and delivery which require more in shop remakes. While we have significantly improved our packaging and handling methods over the years to accommodate these larger parts, the additional cost is still necessary to ensure safe production and delivery.
2. Filler Height
That filler should extend from the floor up to the underside of the crown molding, or to the top of the wall cabinet if crown molding is not used. The crown molding should run across the top of the filler just as it would across a cabinet, creating a continuous and clean appearance.
3. Aventos Lift System and Tray Dividers
The Aventos lift system is not available with tray dividers behind the door, as the hardware mounting locations can interfere with the tray divider components.
Additionally, based on the size of that cabinet, the Aventos lift may be at or beyond its functional limits. The maximum supported door height is 18″, and the maximum width is 36″, which appears to be very close to your cabinet dimensions. At that size, the door weight may exceed the safe operating range of the lift system. Our system calculates the required power factor automatically, but this configuration would be pushing the limits of the hardware, so that door may not stay in the up position if the power factor is maxed out and the door too heavy.
4. Hood Enclosure Interior Finish
Yes, the hood enclosure will have a finished interior. While it is not specifically designated as a finished interior cabinet, our finishing process results in the interior surfaces being finished the same as the exterior. This will provide a clean and consistent appearance.
5. Cutting Parts on Site
Yes, it is perfectly acceptable to cut a longer finished end down into two pieces on site. It requires a bit more installation effort, but it is a common and workable solution.
6. Filler Between Tall End Panel and Wall Cabinet
There is no need to use a filler between the tall finished end panel and the adjacent wall cabinet. Fillers are typically only required at inside corners, cabinet runs terminating into walls, or other special conditions. Your current configuration is correct, the hinges are designed with this in mind.
7. Base Finished Ends or Fillers at Range Opening
No base finished end panels or fillers are required between the cabinets and the range opening. This is standard practice and helps preserve valuable storage space. Adding fillers here would unnecessarily reduce usable cabinet width.
8. Refrigerator Opening Clearance
Everything looks good. Just make sure to allow sufficient clearance for the refrigerator. A 37″ wide by 72″ high opening is standard and recommended, but check your specific ref specs. Attempting to fit a refrigerator into a 36″ wide opening is typically too tight and can cause installation and serviceability issues. Providing extra clearance is important.

At risk of beating the horse here, still wondering about the cabinet door adjacent to the fridge TFE.
See pic for our current situation. It drives me a bit nuts tbh as the door cannot open 90 degrees because it starts to rub with the fridge AND the handle protrudes 1″ from door.
For the Blumotion hinges, how does the door sit when open 90degrees?
e.g., is it in plane with the side of the cabinet, or sitting inward somewhat?
It seems to get the full 90 degree open I would need some spacer, or possibly to move to a single door so it opens beyond the TFE (although this would be a pretty large door ~21″ wide).Thanks again

Ok I’m convinced! Appreciate the demo Chad and cabinets look great.
Another Q as I’m firming up what will go where.
On left and right of the stove I’d like to have a single rollout in the middle drawer.
From elsewhere in the forums seems like this is a possible customization?Is it also possible to make the RO slightly deeper and sacrifice some of the remaining depth of the middle drawer? (see pic)
I am looking at 2 storage thingys for these RO’s and they are 3 1/4″ deep.Thanks again.

Yes, we can certainly add a rollout to the middle opening of a three drawer base cabinet. Simply request this in the order notes at checkout.
Specify that you would like the rollout built at 4 inches tall, and clearly indicate which cabinet the rollout should be added to.
A single customization request like this is perfectly fine, as long as there is not a long list of additional modifications included in the order notes. The person completing the layout will add the rollout at the requested 4 inch height. Final placement will be determined by our team without extended back and forth over email.
In the past, orders with numerous customization requests have caused delays and complications. To prevent issues or possible cancellation, please keep order notes brief and limited to essential modifications only. We are “custom” but we need to keep the wheels turning.
