        Hi Chad!

Last thing holding up my order is the opening for a built-in microwave. Planning to place it directly above a double oven, so I’m trying to keep it as low as possible for easier access. Are there some standard openings for microwaves that will give me some options since we don’t have our microwave selected yet?

I would like to go with a convection microwave, but seems like most truly 30″ wide microwaves are made for a above the range and don’t fit inside a 30″ cabinet (plus not rated to be fully enclosed), and 30″ built-in microwaves are all 24″ wide and come with a trim kit that would make the gap between the double oven below push the microwave up too high.

I’m thinking about just going with an 18″ opening height with the “Appliance Case with DUAL deck and a single top (wall oven appliance case)” and then figuring out the trim and microwave later. Let me know if this sounds like an feasible option.

        Thanks!

Just tried placing my order but I have a $10k limit on the card I’m using so checkout fails, is there a way to pay half now and half tomorrow? Thanks!

Sure, I can help. I see the order was placed this morning without any issues. Let me know if you need to split the payment, but I do see the full amount was authorized and the order is moving forward. Thanks!

Regarding the microwave cabinet, the best approach is to select a microwave model first and build the cabinet around the manufacturer’s specifications. You can always use trim or other millwork to frame the opening if it ends up slightly larger. Popular built-in microwave brands to consider are Bosch, GE Profile, and my favorite—Wolf.
