We purchased Barker Cabinets for our last house and absolutely loved them in our kitchen and three bathrooms. We want to put Barker Modern in our next house, but are wondering if you are going to sell scribe and shoe molding. We found this was very useful and would like to use it again.

Ah yes, I’ve actually done this before, but it requires an extra step. Starting from the beginning, the chipboard core used in the Modern line door material (Italian laminates come with this core by default) is not strong enough to be ripped down to a 1/4″ thickness—it would likely break apart during shipping.

To work around this, you’ll need to order some square trim molding. You can then cut it down to the desired width and thickness to mimic scribe molding or base shoe. The nice part about the square trim molding is that we band both the front and back edges, allowing you to get up to four finished pieces from a single stick.
