Hi! I know there is not currently an option on the website, but I am wondering if you are considering adding a 2″ decorative crown option? I have a sofit but want to use decorative crown vs a flat crown, but with a ceiling height of 86in and sticking to standard 30in upper cabinets and 18″ clearance between counter and cabinets, that only leaves 2″ for crown. I am ordering walnut cabinetry with a clear coat finish. If you are not planning to offer, do you think ordering a 2″ walnut crown from another vendor and having it finished with a clear coat will provide a good color match?

A 2″ tall crown is considered very small. We do offer a 3″ tall crown in both the Portland and Shaker styles. Typically, a 2″ crown is small enough that adding detailed molding isn’t really worthwhile—flat molding is usually used instead. However, if you’d like to add some detail, you can order the flat molding as a backer and attach a build-up piece to the face. This piece is technically 3.5″ tall, but it can easily be ripped down to a 2″ height on site with minimal issues, since the top edge will be up against the ceiling.
