How should I size my drawer boxes when using Blum Tandem slides? They specify opening width minus 13/32″, but ordering boxes is limited to 1/16″ increments. Thanks!

We allow 3/16″ of clearance on each side of the drawer box, which means the drawer box itself is 3/8″ narrower than the cabinet opening where it will be installed.
Please review the videos and written instructions at the following link before placing your order. This sizing formula applies only to drawer boxes made from 5/8″ thick material.
If another vendor has suggested a 1/32″ increment, they are likely using a different drawer box material or construction method, which slightly changes the required opening size. Drawer box material thickness, slide model, and hardware all affect sizing, so we recommend keeping things simple and not mixing measurement instructions from different vendors, as that can lead to sizing errors.

I’m sure it’s a simple matter of converting metric to inches, as 13/32″ is slightly closer to 10mm than 3/8″.
