I am having trouble running the vent through the wall behind my kitchen sink due to a window behind sink and only a 2×4 wall.
We are thinking of swapping the position of the dishwasher and pullout trash cabinet to make room for the vent (design attached)
question:
is it ok to notch the B1DPULLOUTTRASHSINGLEM cabinet to run a 2” vent through the back of this cabinet?any suggestions of how you see people handle something like this?
thank you

Yes, the cabinets are plywood and can be modified as needed. I actually prefer pulling vents into the cabinet case and then routing them to a back wall. This allows for access in case anything ever needs to be serviced.
We run into this often in laundry room applications where a dryer needs to vent to the side but a cabinet is in the way. In those cases, we bring the ducting into the cabinet and route it as required.
If you are referring to a heating and cooling vent, the same concept applies. We typically notch the toe-kick and install a register in the cabinet face before the toe-kick skin is installed. This is very common and easy to cut on site. The plywood construction allows for significant modification without compromising the strength of the cabinet.

This is for the sink drain vent (2”). Want to make sure we get the underground plumbing correct (which we are doing now) before I order the cabinets. I need to get the vent from the sink drain to the existing vertical vent.
I realized I included the wrong product code on my original post.
For a 18” wide 34.5” tall B0DPULLOUTTRASHM, can you confirm my understanding of the cabinet construction?
side panels are 3/4” each
back panel is 3/4”? How tall is the top panel in back of the cabinet I see in the cabinet (attached)? What is the elevation of it?So, for a cabinet depth of 24”, I will have:
24” – 3/4” (rear piece) = 23.25” clear depth inside cabinet (without trash cans inside)Height of 34.5”, I will have:
34.5” – 4” (toe kick) – 3/4’ (top) = 29.75” clear height inside cabinetWidth of 18”, I will have:
16.5” clear width inside cabinet (without trash cans inside) -
