Tall Wardrobe vs Tall Standard cabinet
What is the difference between a Tall Wardrobe and a Tall Standard cabinet, other than the clothes rod that is in the Wardrobe? On shorter wardrobes, it looks like maybe the cabinet is built without a back, but for the tall one the diagram shows a back. We are looking to build a long reach-in style closet out of cabinets with a uniform look across the front. Thanks.

Also, can you tell me what your pull-out shelves/drawers for a tall cabinet look like? What swi the height or depth of the box? Can that height be customized? Thanks

All tall cabinets include a full back panel. When a cabinet exceeds 32″ in total width, the back is split into two pieces. This significantly reduces shipping costs by avoiding oversized-freight charges, which can otherwise add substantial expense. Splitting the back also allows us to build tall cabinets up to 48″ wide, which is exceptionally wide and works very well for applications like a hidden wardrobe or closet with a clothing rod.
The tall wardrobe cabinet and the standard tall pantry cabinet are constructed the same. The only difference is the interior configuration:
The pantry cabinet includes adjustable shelves.
The wardrobe cabinet has no shelves and instead includes a hanging rod for clothing.
From the exterior, the cabinets look identical when the doors are closed as there is no visible difference in the face or appearance.
Pullout shelves are the same regardless of cabinet type. They are always 4″ tall and are installed at the bottom of the cabinet to start. Many customers prefer a single pullout at the bottom, where access is otherwise limited by regular adjustable shelves. Others choose to add up to four pullouts to improve overall accessibility.
Personally, I prefer one pullout at the bottom with adjustable shelves above, as shelves typically provide the most efficient and versatile storage. All pullout shelves are built using dovetailed rubberwood drawer boxes mounted on soft-close Blum slides, identical to the drawer construction used in our standard base cabinets.
