    Kitchen example

    Hi there-

I want to build the tall vertical pantry you see to the left of this image. Whats the best way to achieve this tall custom unit look? Could i stack base cabinets?

Top = 2 door wall cabinet. Middle = 1 door pantry with pull out drawers. Bottom = 1 door base cabinet with pullout (HAFELE).

(The tall pantry with pull out would be ideal but I dont like that the door would have 2 rails + 3 panels since it will be >60″ tall, it will conflict with cabinet symmetry for rest of my kitchen)

Correct, you can stack pantry cabinets on top of base cabinets. Just be sure to order the pantry cabinets with no toe kick.

As long as the widths and depths of your wall, base, and tall cabinets match, they can be stacked in various configurations. Typically, base cabinets are kept on the bottom since they have open tops with stretchers, while wall and tall cabinets have fully closed tops.

That said, your design will work just fine.
