Optimal washer pedestal choice

I’m looking for a (custom) pedestal cabinet to elevate a new compact front-load washer (and later, dryer) which is (are) 23-5/8 wide. I want to be able to reach into the door without bending over, and at 5’2″ my reach height is about 39-40 inches high with my elbows bent at 90 degrees. The center of the washer portal-door is 18″ from the bottom of the feet. I also want a top drawer in the cabinet, to pull out to catch laundry so I can process it after washing (e.g. selecting items for the dryer). Having tried a few options, it seems the most cost-effective choice from your site is to order a 1-door/1-drawer base cabinet and specify a lower height, e.g. 24″ high. (I would install a 3/4″ plywood top and foot brackets to prevent motion.) I’d request no door hinge, then I’d use the single “door” as a drawer panel to install a lower push-to-open drawer myself. Question: if I ordered this type of cabinet with 24″ height, would your team automatically know to reduce the door height and keep the top drawer height standard? Or would I need to specify the height of door and drawer? Thanks. -

When in doubt, always include a note on the order to confirm any size changes as needed. For single-door and drawer base cabinets, the top drawer front is fixed at our standard height of 5 7/8″. This dimension will not change, even if the overall height of the cabinet is modified.
