  • Non-standard rails

Hi. We’re trying to mirror cabinet doors elsewhere in the bathroom, which have a standard 2″ rail and stile on three sides, but on the bottom edge, the rail is 6″ high. Is this possible? Thanks!

Unfortunately, we do not offer non-standard rail sizes for only the lower rail. While we could certainly produce something like that in a custom situation, offering an asymmetrical door or drawer-front style creates additional production challenges with stock management and material usage. Since asymmetrical styles are also much less common than standard symmetrical designs, it has never been a major focus for us.

For reference, our standard frame width is 2 5/8″, which is slightly wider than the typical industry standard. We prefer that proportion because it gives the door a slightly beefier, more custom, high-end appearance.

On BarkerDoor.com, you can choose from several different frame-width options, but there is an additional charge when going outside our standard 2 5/8″ frame width.
