  • Imagine a Refrigerator End Panel as a Shallow Pantry

The kitchen I am planning, and my current kitchen, would have benefitted from a shallow reach in pantry accessed from the side of the refrigerator. Would be extremely functional for holding a wall calendar, tissue box, hanging aprons, storing keys, pen cup, and many other items struggling to find a hiding place. A toe kick on the narrow side would be a good option to help complement refrigerator toe kick. Would need to have option for finished end panel or doors on short side, immediately adjacent to the refrigerator door and the cabinets above the refrigerator. Shallow pantries 5-12 inched deep could be a great way to add some functionality to a cabinet run that ends with a refrigerator and then walk space. Thanks. I’m sure you love these unsolicited recommendations:)

Sure, we had another customer ask about this on the City Cabinets line a while back.

I will attach the image I generated that explains the process of adding an exposed cabinet to act as a substitute for a finished end panel on a tall cabinet or refrigerator opening.

Same idea here. This can be done using a cabinet that is already listed on the site, but rotated 90 degrees.

Thanks for the response. I will relook doing something similar with a pantry or similar cabinets to get the cabinet I want. I suspect that if I come up with a potential solution, I may need to ask to confirm some design details.
I appreciate your active involvement in these forums.
