How do drawer heights change as cabinet height increases?
Hi! Looking to use Barker Modern for our new build kitchen, primary bath, and maybe closet and entry. In our bathroom, we’ll have a 4′ wide sink base then a 4′ wide tall unit, then a 4′ wide sink base. I was going to make the tall unit out of a 4-drawer split-top base, and then stack a 2-door cabinet directly on top. If I make that drawer base taller so that the top is the countertop height of the sink bases (36″), how does the height of the drawers change from the diagram on the website of the 34.5″ unit (which has a 3 5/8″”, a 10 1/8″, and a 9 13/16″). Or, do the drawer boxes remain the same height, and the faces get a little taller?
Also, when the drawer bases get to the 42″ or 48″ wide, are they still full extension glides? 100 lbs per drawer?

See here for a side-by-side comparison of the two heights. Please note that the drawer box height does not change, as there is not enough space to increase the box from 6 inches to 8 inches.
The drawer fronts adjust as needed, and the overall usable height increases slightly. In general, all components are sized to the largest possible dimensions that will fit within the available space, provided those sizes are available. Drawer boxes are offered in 2-inch height increments, which is the limiting factor in this case.

Thanks very much! That’s super helpful. How much space do I need between the side of the 2-door sink vanity and the wall? Assuming I don’t have super deep pulls?

Yes, any time you have a base cabinet touching a wall, be sure to use a two inch wide filler between the wall and the cabinet side. This provides the proper professional clearance for baseboards to terminate and allows enough space for door hardware so the cabinet doors can open a full ninety degrees. Two inches is our standard.
