Exposed shelves
I’m happy to see the exposed shelf options! I love the look of the thick shelf, but I would like to have it meet the countertop with no bottom shelf. Like the WEXPOSEDBOOKCASE but using the 1.5′ plywood instead. Do you have this or do you anticipate adding this anytime soon? This will be part of our floor to ceiling, wall to wall office cabinets. Thank you!

I can certainly add this cabinet, but I do have some concerns about the exposed edges, which would require an additional finished end panel. Our finished ends are 3/4″ thick, so if the cabinet side is exposed, you’d be left with a 2.25″ wide stile. That’s not terrible, but I’m not a fan of the seam where the end panel face meets the face of the adjacent cabinet ends.
Are you planning to place this cabinet between other cabinets? If so, that would be perfectly acceptable, and I’d be happy to add this type of cabinet to the website.

Thanks for the input! We aren’t planning to have a cabinet beside the shelves (we’ll have the bookshelves on the far ends with space for a desk between them), but we’re planning to paint them. Do you think that painting them would keep us from having to put an additional side panel on? If not, I’ll see about coming up with a different design for the upper part of the office unit.

You can fill and sand the construction holes, then sand the entire side and paint it. This process is common, but it requires significant effort and experience to achieve a clean, professional look. Finished end panels eliminate that extra work and create a seamless RTA installation.
I’ve just added a new appliance garage cabinet. It will feature the same stay-up lift arm, but this version is designed without a bottom so it can be installed directly on top of a countertop. See here:

I think we decided to stick with the standard exposed bottomless shelves you already have listed. We plan to place the flip up cabinets on top of these shelves. We want the outer edge of the flip door to run flush with the edge of the shelves. So what is the depth of the door? I know I saw it listed somewhere, but I can’t seem to find it. Thank you!

All of our cabinet doors (excluding the slab plywood which are 3/4″) 13/16″ thick. So just slightly thicker than 3/4″.
