Edge banding
Is there a link or photos of the PVC edge banding used for the two white CV finishes?
Also – it sounds like a PVC edge is used for chestnut. If correct, is there a link/photo for that? Is it a solid color or does it have a grain look?thanks!

Sure, see the attached photos here. First is the new Chestnut edge banding showing the grain and color matching. The PVC tape is much more durable than a stained real wood and looks and feels virtually identical to the real thing. Same for the Pure and Dover Whites.

Is the same white pvc used for both the Pure and Dover? Or are they different?

The Dover is a bit warmer of a color and has its own edge banding separate from the Pure. They are close in color, but we still change the banding so it has an exact color match.

On the chestnut edge banding, from your photo it looks like there are slightly different colors of edge banding for the different wood types with the chestnu.
Are the ones shown in your photo all different chestnut variations?thanks

Each wood species will have a different chestnut edge banding selected that looks the closest possible to the final wood color.

Is PVC edge banding used for the walnut slab doors? A possible weakness of PVC edge banding is that if chipped or damaged it can’t be repaired with wood filler, filler pens, or stain like real wood banding could be.

No, we would not mix PVC edge banding with a real wood–veneered slab plywood door. The banding would never match properly and would look out of place. PVC banding is only used on cabinet cases. It performs best on heavily used cabinets—such as plate cabinets, where the edges take constant contact, rubbing, and scraping. In those situations, real wood edge banding would eventually chip and fail, requiring repairs. PVC, on the other hand, is far more durable thanks to its flexibility, allowing it to withstand wear and tear much better over time.
