Sure, there are always solutions to situations like this. We have a blind corner base cabinet with a 3″ integrated filler. There is a range installed in front of the cabinet that prevents both the drawer and the door from opening fully.
The solution here is fairly simple, as long as we do our homework and make sure everything is accounted for. The contractor on site will need to install an exactly 3″wide flat filler on the face of the cabinet. This will essentially reduce the total opening for both the door and drawer by exactly 3″.
We can then remake the door, drawer box, and drawer front exactly 3″ narrower than the existing components on site. Keeping everything at exactly 3″ less will make the measurements straightforward and help avoid any confusion.
One important note: because the new drawer box will be below our standard minimum width, we will need to use narrow locking devices. The standard locking devices may hit or overlap at this width.
