Slab Plywood Doors over 48″ – Center Rail??

Hi,

It says that upper cabinet doors over 48″ H will have a center rail? I don’t think this would look right on a slab plywood door – what does this look like on a slab plywood door?

Slab plywood doors never get a center rail. They will stay slab all the way up to 96″ in height. The center rail is only valid for traditional frame and panel cabinet doors.

Adding on to this question – for doors over 48″ will there be an extra hinge?

Cabinet doors over 42″ tall get a third hinge for additional support.
