Love my Barker built-ins in my family room – turned out fantastic. I’m now doing the final built-in in our kitchen/dining area. Unfortunately, the nook (4′ x 2′) is currently home to our robot vacuum and a plant. Plant can go, but my wife loves the robot and we want to keep the dock in the nook. Solution: a hidden robot garage. I’ve seen a few pics online of people doing a robot garage in their custom built-ins. I wonder what the best Barker cabinet would be for this… I was hoping to have a wine/drinks fridge where one lower cabinet would go, and a “hidden” robot garage where the other lower cabinet would go next to it, then standard uppers.

Anyone have any experience with this? Can you recommend a specific Barker cabinet I could use or modify into a robot garage?

Can you post an example picture of what you are looking to accomplish? This sounds fun!

The man himself. Awesome. I was thinking something like this:

In my case, it would be to hid the roborox dock. The robot would come out of the fake or omitted toe kick and the cabinet would hide the dock

Sure, see her for how I would design this.

Note that this layout is based on a 42″ finished countertop height. The photo you provided appears to show a working height of about 42″, which is taller than the standard 36″ countertop height used in most kitchen applications.

If you prefer the standard 36″ height, you’ll need to adjust the cabinet height accordingly. However, this setup looks more like a prep area, and the extra height is likely beneficial and more comfortable, in my opinion.

Here’s a face view showing the cabinet heights for reference.

Also measure that ROOMBA to ensure it is less than 4″ tall while in operation. The toe kick height of 4″ might need to be pushed up higher to accommodate.
