I want to put a 32″ wide 18″ deep “coffee bar cabinet” with retractable doors atop a standard depth base cabinet. the base cabinet will be covered by the soapstone countertop which would also serve as the floor of the coffee bar cabinet. Do you do retractable doors and sit on top cabinets with no bottom for those that will sit on a countertop?

We do not offer a retractable door option for our cabinets. Retractable doors require a much smaller, inset door so it can slide back into the top of the cabinet. In a frameless, full-overlay cabinet, this would expose the cabinet case and undermine the clean, modern look of our construction. In short, it does not look correct.
Appliance garages like this are common, and customers typically use one of the following options instead:
Flip-up doors
Flip-up door cabinets are available on our website. These lift the door up and hold it in the open position, providing good access to the appliance storage area.

You can order a standard one-door cabinet and request that the door not be drilled for hinges (add this in the order notes at checkout). You can then install your own lift hardware, such as a Blum Aventos HL system, which lifts the door up and out of the way. This works as an alternative to a pocket or retractable door. It does require selecting the correct power factor based on the door weight, but it can be installed after the cabinets arrive and are installed.https://www.blum.com/us/en/products/liftsystems/aventos-hl/programme/
