        Hi there,

I’m interested in making my upper cabinet doors push-to-open. Are the supplied hinges compatible with any Blum Tip-On push-to-open mechanisms, like this one? If so do you recommend a surface mount or bored hole installation of the Tip-On mechanism?

        Thanks

Sure, these work fine for cabinet doors only. I recommend using the version that attaches with a bracket rather than the bored-hole style. This makes it much easier to replace them later when they eventually wear out.

For drawers, our standard Barker Modern slide is the Movento version of the Blumotion drawer slides. Since your cabinets already include Movento slides, you can simply add the “Tip-On” feature, which allows you to push the drawer to open. This is a nice upgrade because you keep the soft-close functionality—something you lose on cabinet doors with the same feature.
