Hello. What type of primer do you use? How many layers? Is the primed surface good to light sand and then paint with water based paint?
-
We use Sherwin-Williams Gallery water-based primer, two coats on the face and one coat on the back. This process allows for a quality-control inspection between coats to catch any surface blemishes early. The primer is fully compatible with virtually all water-based paints. While we recommend Sherwin-Williams topcoats for the best quality and durability, any high-quality water-based paint from a reputable manufacturer will perform well.

I need a shaker style door, summit white,
20.5 wide x 21.75 tall . Are the frame styles 2” wide all around?
What is the cost and approximate lead time.
Regards,
Rod -
Our doors are built with 2 5/8″ wide stiles and rails. We don’t offer a “Summit White,” but we do have Primer Only, Pure White, and Dover White. Be sure to order samples so you can review the colors in person.
