I’m trying to process a Barker order for four Shaker cabinet doors. Using the online tool the cost is 344 dollars. When I check out the shipping and handling costs appear as $ 640 more. I know this is a mistake but I can’t figure out how to correct this. Has anyone else had any experience like this? Looks like I need to chose another vendor.

Depends on the size of the product being ordered. You did not list the size, price, or any details other than your complaint about the total cost of shipping. What are you ordering.
Note that if you are ordering a super large door that will require freight to ship the order, then $344 sounds about correct. Free shipping is available on any order over $1000.

Mr Barker, concerning the order I am trying to place with Barker Doors. My order was for 2x Shaker doors 12 1/4 W by 60 3/8 H and 2x Shaker 17 3/16 W by 10 3/4 H. The price for doors was $344.90. The shipping and handling was #645.10. The ship to is Ludington MI. If there is a reasonable option for shipping and handling I would like to purchase these from you. I appreciate any suggestions. – Brian Aslakson

Please try again now after refreshing or reloading your web browser.
I reviewed the shipping costs for a 60″–72″ tall package, and our base cost per door is approximately $80–$100. This does not include packaging materials or insurance, so a small additional charge is applied for each door and package.
Smaller doors ship in a standard double-up package, which helps minimize shipping costs. For this order of four items, the total shipping charges should fall in the $200–$300 range.
